Dear Students-
All of you have one figure stand for the skeleton and a rolling sculpture stand to work with now. Please remember to store your rolling sculpture stands in a corner of the room or somewhere else where they will not be disturbed (in the back area is a good idea). As for your figure stands holding your skeletons: in the future, it will be safest to store these in your cubby space. If you leave them on your stand, you will be in danger of having one of your classmates bump into and possibly damaging or destroying your work when moving things around to get stands. Please be mindful of your neighbors' things.
You will find the group you belong to below. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact me. I will see you very soon!

Homework for all
SKELETON
We have made a lot of progress on our skeletons. At this point you should have the complete armature formed, complete with a skinned ribcage, pelvic section and head. I passed out clay to each person and told you to start adding it to make the major bones of the form: humerus, radius, ulna, femur, fibula, tibia. This should be done before I see you on Thursday.
SKULL
The skull foundation you created in solid clay should be dried enough to begin subtracting anything extraneous away. Compare this form to the measurements you made and the actual skeleton itself. Carve it down/add so that the overall form matches in a 1:1 ratio. Remember, since we are building it to scale, if it doesn't look like what you are making, you have done something incorrectly and need to try to correct it. Do not work on any details. You only need to have the volumes correct before we meet again on Thursday. We will talk about creating the details at a later time.
PLEASE be sure you are looking at the skull and skeleton [Francis] when you are making your forms!
CONTENT PORTFOLIO
Please have your 6 maquettes ready for discussion on Thursday and your proposals completed and emailed to me.
